If you have been supplied a label shape from Norwood, that shape will already be setup with the appropriate Die and Crease lines. Do not alter these in any way. If you are creating a new Label shape, Create the outline shape of the label, fill it with a colour of ‘none’, and set the stroke to ‘CS’ (please see the Norwood Swatch Manual provided) and check the overprint stroke option. This is the cutting shape and it is printed as a spot colour during separations. Please include 2mm bleed on all labels designed with bleed. When creating the label template, where possible, save your files as a .PDF. All colours with the exception of the cutting shape and any specials (see next paragraph) should be in process CMYK. Black should be set to overprint, with large areas of black to be set as rich black 50 C 25 M 25 Y 100 K. Avoid mixing colours via overprinting unless prior arrangements have been made, as overprinting process colours will normally be reset to knock out by default. Special inks must be supplied as spot colours. Foils should be renamed "Foil" and be set to overprint. Try and avoid any fine lines or details. Once you have created your label, take the time to embed any images within the file, along with outlining any text/logos to ensure they are not changed when we open the files on our end. Alternatively, if you are able to, provide any fonts you have used and leave all text as live text. This will also allow us to make changes to your label in the case of any errors found by our proof reader. Please supply fonts where possible. Label Shape FRONTS
