Designed to inspire clients, the media pack included a range of printed items that highlighted Norwood’s ability to bring products and ideas to life from the ground up. Based on the 2014 photo series, it even featured miniature versions of the life-size sets used in the shoot. Out of all the items, the Stegosaurus quickly became the favourite, thanks to the Norwood industrial designers’ love for dinosaurs.
Jurassic Park quotes are now a commonplace in the Norwood office—especially with a life-size T-Rex hanging in reception. And yes, you’re welcome to come and see it for yourself! Assembling these intricate 3D puzzles can be a challenge, but we still have a few left if you want to try your hand at being a palaeontologist.
For the photoshoot, our photographer Tom flew to Sydney to capture the Stegosaurus at the Australian Museum, alongside the enormous skeleton of a diplodocus. Tom frequently reminds the team how difficult it is to shoot small objects next to large ones, so naturally, we gave him a real challenge. Despite the difficulty, Tom’s skill shone through, producing a series of stunning images. The Stegosaurus looked so realistic that a museum visitor even accused us of taking it from the display! Needless to say, the Norwood Stegosaurus could have easily become part of the exhibition.
